Step One thought and scripture – Day 7.

Step One in Alcoholics Anonymous

Admitted we were powerless over alcohol—that our lives had become unmanageable.

Step One in Living Free

I now see [admit] that I, of myself, am powerless, unable to control [manage] my life by myself.

We can do things on our own and think we are headed in the right direction. However, if we recognize our powerlessness and allow God to lead us, He will always give us the right answer and direction for our life. Acting on this will lead to success for our life.

Proverbs 16:1-3

New Living Translation (NLT)

1 We can make our own plans, but the Lord gives the right answer.

2 People may be pure in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their motives.

3 Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.
