Step One thought and scripture – Day 26.

Step One in Alcoholics Anonymous

Admitted we were powerless over alcohol—that our lives had become unmanageable.

Step One in Living Free

I now see [admit] that I, of myself, am powerless, unable to control [manage] my life by myself.

By humbling ourselves under the power of God and giving Him all our cares, He can start the process of rebuilding our lives into what He has destined for us.

1 Peter 5:5-7

New Living Translation (NLT)

5 …… “God opposes the proud but favors the humble.”

6 So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor.    7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
