Step One thought and scripture – Day 25.

Step One in Alcoholics Anonymous

Admitted we were powerless over alcohol—that our lives had become unmanageable.

Step One in Living Free

I now see [admit] that I, of myself, am powerless, unable to control [manage] my life by myself.

In order to stop the cycle of making wrong decisions and being a slave to those wrong decisions, we must come to the end of ourselves. In this way we can begin to allow God to work through us, which enables us to make the right decisions that lead to good consequences and ultimately a free life!

John 8:34

Worldwide English (New Testament)

34Jesus answered them, `I tell you the truth. People who do wrong things are not free. They become a slave of the wrong things they do.
