Step One thought and scripture – Day 11.

Step One in Alcoholics Anonymous

Admitted we were powerless over alcohol—that our lives had become unmanageable.

Step One in Living Free

I now see [admit] that I, of myself, am powerless, unable to control [manage] my life by myself.

Know that when we come to the end of ourselves, it does not mean that we do not have value. We do have value. We need to recognize and embrace the value that God puts on our lives. It is not what we do that gives us value but God alone gives us value!

2 Corinthians 3:4-5

New Living Translation (NLT)

4 We are confident of all this because of our great trust in God through Christ. 5 It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God.
