Step One in Alcoholics Anonymous


Admitted we were powerless over alcohol—that our lives had become unmanageable.


Step One in Living Free


I now see [admit] that I, of myself, am powerless, unable to control [manage] my life by myself.


Ultimately, when we allow sin to rule our life it will lead us to death. When we die to ourselves and allow Jesus Christ to work in and through us, He brings life to us.



Romans 6:23

New Living Translation (NLT)

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
