Step Four thought and scripture - Day 30.

Step Four

Alcoholics Anonymous

Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.

Step Four

Living Free

Having made this decision, I now obey God’s call in Scripture to make a fearless, ethical, moral, and scriptural inventory of my entire life in order to uncover all sins, mistakes, and character defects and to make a written list of every item uncovered.

As we take inventory of ourselves, we can allow God to work within us and make us brand new on the inside. He will give us a new, tender heart and put His Spirit within us that will give us the ability to follow His decrees!

Ezekiel 36:26-27,31 New Living Translation (NLT)

26 And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations. 31 Then you will remember your past sins and despise yourselves for all the detestable things you did.
