Having made this decision, I now obey God’s call in Scripture to make a fearless, ethical, moral, and scriptural inventory of my entire life in order to uncover all sins, mistakes, and character defects and to make a written list of every item uncovered.

As we take inventory of ourselves it is so important to remember to guard our heart and stay focused on the one that will keep our feet on a straight path and from following after evil.

Proverbs 4:23-27 New Living Translation (NLT)

23 Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. 24 Avoid all perverse talk; stay away from corrupt speech. 25 Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. 26 Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. 27 Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.
